The municipality of Southern Rhodes is located at the most southern tip of the island of Rhodos. It covers 26.6% of the total area of the island of Rhodes making the municipality of Southern Rhodes not only the largest municipality in acreage of the 10 of the total municipalities of the island, but also the largest in the whole Prefecture of the Dodecanese!

The coastline of Southern Rhodes extends to 152 kilometres of which 46 kilometres or 38% are composed of sand and the rest with multicolored pebbles. Of special interest to all guests visiting our municipality are the sand dunes with cedars (protected species).
